Ashes of the Forgotten — The Day the Silence Ended

Buried beneath centuries of ice and ash, in the rusting bones of a forgotten train car, something stirs.

Absynth never expected prophecy to bleed from metal. But there—wrapped in frost, suspended in a cryochamber designed by a world long dead—she finds him. Rook.

The man the prophecy warned her about.

Silent.

Sleeping.

Dangerous.

With Prospero at her side and Hassara whispering warnings, Absynth will make the call that sets the galaxy burning...

She wakes him.

About the Show:

“I spent nearly a thousand years frozen in a cryotube. Now I’m stuck drifting in deep space, low on fuel, and my only company is a smartass cyborg who thinks he knows everything and still can’t fix the coffee machine. So yeah—figured it’s as good a time as any to finally tell my story.”

This isn’t some sanitized bedtime tale.

This is part John Wayne swagger, part Buck Rogers burnout, part Flash Gordon fever dream—spliced with Road Warrior road rash and a post-apocalyptic love story that still leaves scars.

There’s action. There’s adventure. There’s magic, dragons, gun smoke, laser beams, and heartbreak wrapped in fishnets and flame.

There are beautiful women (and a few that’d kill you for saying so).

There are raunchy sex stories, bad decisions, worse consequences, and moments of grace so raw they’ll cut through your cynicism.

If you're looking for PG... you’re in the wrong quadrant.

Switch the channel. Don't come back.

This only gets darker. Dirtier. More real.

These stories? They’re forged from life—
From the awkward chaos of puberty, the battlefield of high school, the blunt trauma of military life, and the unbearable silence of war’s aftermath.

But at the core of it all is a love story—one born in the digital wilds of World of Warcraft™, back in the Vanilla days, when avatars masked real feelings and pixels knew passion.

For fifteen years I’ve carried this fire.

Some of it is scripted.

Most of it is ad-libbed, because that’s how memory works when it’s tangled in trauma and time travel.

But it’s all real. Or real enough.

I hope you enjoy the ride.

The Unstable Creative Genius

Rich Greene, BFA

Veteran, Artist, Writer, Husband and most importantly a Father.

Born and raised on the east side of Kalamazoo, Rich took the long road—often the hard road—to becoming the artist, advocate, and storyteller he is today. Straight out of high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Hospital Corpsman during the Persian Gulf War. Along the way, he wore many uniforms: EMT, microvascular tech, LPN, tow truck driver, veterinary tech, special education teacher, and public health investigator—each job a chapter in a life that refuses to be boxed in.

Today, Rich channels that lived experience into bold, unapologetic art—he wears many hats; working as a Short-term Rental Advocate and Development Director, a tattoo artist, a writer, a Dad, and he is in Grad School studying to become a Mental Health Counselor. He holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he studied Screenwriting, Art Education, and Interdisciplinary Arts. His work blends grit with grace, often rooted in themes of resilience, identity, and redemption

Rich lives in Fennville, Michigan with his partner Amber Fae—a brilliant vacation home designer—and their son, Orion Jack. Their household includes a loyal dog named Bowie and two mischievous cats, Jackie and Athena. Together, they are building a life that balances creativity, compassion, and a bit of beautiful chaos.

A Special Thank you...

I want to thank everyone who’s supported me—this project, this dream—and even the long, messy road it took to get here. To the procrastination, the fear of success, the near-misses, and the times I almost pulled the trigger only to freeze up—thank you, too. You were part of the process.

To those who contributed to these stories—who made me laugh, cry, rage, sulk, scream, and laugh again—your friendship lives in every page. Whether we drifted or stayed close, you’ve all carved out space in my imagination and branded a place in my heart. For better or worse, we built something together.

To Scott and Niki—thank you for your patience (seriously), and for trusting me to shape a story around the likeness of characters you hold dear - and your friendship and support for all these years. That’s no small gift.

To Bree—without the whirlwind we endured, there would be no whirlwind love story. You helped shape the chaos that breathes fire into these pages.

To Jay — Thank you for always believing in me, encouraging me and standing by me, as a friend and like a brother. You have been a mentor, a counselor and so kind.

To Amber— my partner in this life and this mad creation: thank you for never letting go, even when the ride got wild. Your belief in me, this project, and our family is what gave me the courage to finally finish something I’ve carried for decades. Through illness, insomnia, and existential spirals, you’ve been the anchor. I love you endlessly.

To my son, Orion—without you (and your incredible mother), there would be no light in my world. You inspire me every day to be better than I was yesterday. I hope one day, when you look back, you’ll smile at the magic we made—and not wonder about the “what ifs.” You're already an amazing young man. I’m proud beyond words.

And finally—yeah, let’s say it—thank you to Blizzard Entertainment. Without World of Warcraft, there’d be no Ravenseye, no legend of Rook, and no spark that started all this. You gave me a universe to lose myself in—and find myself again.
